MEET OUR FOUNDER
Hello, I’m Rachel—a passionate French Second Language teacher and proud mother of four. Teaching has always been my calling, and nothing compares to the joy of seeing children beam with pride after their hard work pays off.
Being a mom to neurodiverse children has deepened my understanding of how unique each learning journey is. Through my experience as both an educator and parent, I saw the gaps in how some students are supported—especially those who struggle in traditional classrooms. This inspired me to become an advocate for individualized learning approaches that build confidence and meet students where they are.
That passion led to the creation of Lami Academy—a space where education is personalized to fit each child. At Lami, we nurture the whole child by supporting academic growth, boosting confidence, and encouraging curiosity.
We specialize in the Orton-Gillingham method, a structured, multi-sensory approach to reading and writing. Designed for students with learning differences like Dyslexia and Dysgraphia, it benefits all learners through explicit, sequential instruction that makes learning accessible and engaging.
