Literacy Boost

We all know the public school system is stretched beyond its limits, and unfortunately, students with learning differences such as dyslexia and dysgraphia are often the ones falling through the cracks.

This is a small-group literacy intervention program designed to support students in Kindergarten through Grade 6 who may be struggling with reading, writing, or related language skills. Instruction is based on the Orton-Gillingham approach, a structured, multisensory method proven effective for students with dyslexia and other reading challenges.

About Program:

Personalized Learning: With a maximum of 6 students per group, your child gets the focused attention they need to succeed.

Expert Instruction: Taught by Rachel, an Orton-Gillingham Associate Certified educator with a BA and BEd and years of experience.

Flexible Scheduling: Choose between English (Monday/Wednesday) or French (Tuesday/Thursday) sessions, offered twice a week during school hours.

  • Group 1: 8:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
  • Group 2: 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
  • Each 2.5-hour session includes a snack break.

Clear Progress:

  • Each student will be assessed using DIBELS (Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills) at the start of the term.
  • Regular progress reports will be provided to families.
  • The teacher will maintain ongoing communication with your child’s school to ensure academic alignment.

Cost: The total cost is $2,100 for 14 weeks (September 8 – December 12). This can be paid in four equal installments of $525.

A Special Note for Parents of Grade 5 Students: This program is particularly beneficial for students in Intensive French who require additional support in English literacy.
